Review Detail
2015 d’Arenberg The Custodian Grenache
Wine Rating
89
The usual value one comes to expect is on show here with the 2015 providing a wine that is packed with varietal characteristics of dark cherry, fresh earth and touches of liquorice. The wine sits more on the savoury side of the grenache spectrum which will ensure a medium term cellaring prospect.
There is a meatiness to plum and cherry fruits before the dusty and grainy tannins with an asphalt edge work alongside dark cherry and unsweetened liquorice to finish.
