Review Detail
2018 Lou Miranda Old Vine Grenache
Wine Rating
94
Sourced from a single vineyard in Rowland flat planted in 1917 this wine comes from vines that are 101 years old. There are only 1066 bottles produced and at $45 it seems like somewhat of a steal for Australian vinous history.
A beautiful perfume on the nose of floral red cherries; The palate has a lightness of wild strawberry and raspberry fruit with a subtle build of both tannin and acid that give the wine great lines and structure. The finish has both richness and concentration with raspberry compote dusted with spice, a peacocks tail like expression. Will live for years.
