Review Detail
2018 Purple Hands Old Vine Grenache
Wine Rating
95
The wine was produced from old bush vines with 35% whole bunch included in the ferment before being aged in older oak on its lees for 9 months.
A light red with some purple hues in colour. On the nose you are met with red cherry, a touch of rhubarb and spice; the wine has wonderful balance with a gossamer thread of tannin taking on an earth and mocha aspect with svelte red berry fruits enjoying a subtle build in texture that frames the long fruit focused finish.
Pinot of the Barossa, and incredible value.
