Review Detail
2017 d’Arenberg d'Arrys Original Grenache Shiraz
Wine Rating
90
A medium red with purple hues, the nose is generous with rich plum and raspberry fruits that take on more savoury cocoa and earth with time in the glass. A full bodied wine that is slightly reductive initially, the wine certainly shows its inclusion of shiraz in terms of drying tannins, unsweetened liquorice and bitter dark cocoa; Grenache gives some rhubarb and dark cherry with an understated weave of spice to finish.
