Review Detail
2019 Yangarra Estate Old Vine Grenache
Wine Rating
95
A medium red hue, the nose is floral and lifted by red cherry with sweeter earth and spice. There is concentration and drive to dark cherry with a savoury aspect and tannins that build but are fine and compact whilst giving structure. There is a litheness to the fruit and a chalkiness on the back palate with fruit rather than oak or winemaker input the star. The finish is awash with red cherry, gentle earth and faint spice.
A wine i can’t wait to see with a few years in bottle.
