A medium to dark red in colour, the nose has concentrated blackberry, tomato leaf and wafts of classy vanillin oak and is seemingly youthful despite already having a number of years in the bottle.
The palate has great depth of flavours with blackcurrant, plum and cedary oak presented against the backdrop of firm but fine tannins and wonderfully handled acidity that keeps the wine flowing from start to finish.
This is a wine that will cellar and is a credit to the fastidious viticulture and winemaking that makes Yarra Yering one of the premier Yarra Valley producers.
