The wine is starting to show it's age with a duller red hue to the rim of the glass, the nose shows a mature wine that is sitting pretty after 10 years in bottle; plum, leather, tobacco, cocoa and the remnants of new oak spice.
The palate has presence, texture and depth with the melange of grape varieties working together to provide a sultry, leathery expression of dark berry fruits that carries through to the long finish.
