2008 Elderton Ode to Lorraine

The Ode to Lorraine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot, with the nose showing the inputs and integration of these varieties through an array of aromas ranging from olive and plum to blackberry and cedar.

The palate shows a well structured wine that begins with blackberry and olive and is further complemented by delicate spices and balanced oak. As the wine moves towards the finish, the fruit takes on a more savoury aspect, showing very good length.
