Light to medium red in colour, a bordeaux blend of Merlot (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30 % ) and Cabernet franc (20%) with a flavour profile and cellaring potential to match.
The nose takes time to open and moves from olive to stewed cherry and blackcurrant with slight toffee oak undertones.
The wine is medium bodied with savoury cherry and the slightest hint of choc mint character, the tannins are firm and gripping; working well with red berry fruit and juicy acidity on the long finish.
This is certainly a wine for the cellar.
