A Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc
The wine is a dark red in the glass, the nose has an abundance of sweet vanillin oak and pencil shaving aromas that shade the dark fruits.
There are so many elements vying for attention on the palate, with each trying to out do the other, the oak is undoubtedly of good quality but is very forward, fortunately the dense blackberry and plum fruit can almost soak it up. There tannins on the finish are very drying and contrasted by some savoury spices.
