2012 Logan Cabernet Merlot

A dark red in colour with good clarity in the glass and a lighter red towards the rim, the nose is reminiscent of the Cabernet Franc wines of Chinon in the Loire Valley with sweet stem, cassis, tobacco and smokey black fruits.

The wine is medium bodied with a nervy tension of acid and grainy tannin that controls the savoury expression of cassis, olive and wood spices.

The wine has excellent length to finish with a tart blackberry aspect that gives texture and pulls you back for more.
