The nose is true to both the region and variety with cassis aromatics that are accentuated by bay leaf and fresh earth. The palate is medium bodied and gives briar black fruits that are well supported by cedar oak and cigar box spice that works in concert with fine and resolved tannins.
The finish melds dark fruits with mint chocolate that is one of the hallmarks of Coonawarra Cabernet. Drinking well now and over the next 5 - 8 years.
