When i think of Pyrenees as a region, the first word that always comes to mind is elegance, a word that is a good descriptor for the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from Mitchell Harris.
A deep red in the glass, the nose shows subtle varietal expression of blackberry, green peppercorn and a touch of mint. This is a wine that builds across the palate, reaching a crescendo of savoury black fruits, with a fine lattice of tannin and juicy acidity that maintains the wines structure and primes you for another sip.
This wine will cellar for a number of year, so give it some air for a good 30 minutes to maximise enjoyment. Only 300 dozen produced.
