Barossa Cabernet, the poor cousin of Shiraz that should be taken much more seriously in the region ! This is not a shrinking violet in terms of concentration and character, but still holds enjoyable varietal definition.

A deep dark red in the glass with youthful purple hues towards the rim.

The nose provides an aromatic mix of dark plum, blackcurrant, sweet (almost floral) vanillin oak and touches of old leather. The palate is balanced and generous at this point in it's development, yet having the hallmarks to age well.

There is a plushness of oak on entry that is more than carried by the dark berry fruits, tannins are drying and give a grainy textural aspect before juicy blackberry frames the finish with touches of earth and leather.
