A lovely aged Cabernet for under $30, with the cellaring already done for you. The nose integrates blackberry and plum fruit, with old leather and a generous dusting of french oak induced spice. The palate is medium bodied and has cassis and some richer plum with cedar spice alongside bay leaf providing an embellishment to the fruit. The finish sees blackberry and mulberry fruit wrapped in a sheath of oak and faint tobacco notes.
