2016 Mitolo Jester Cabernet Sauvignon

An Inky dark red to purple in the glass, the nose is varietal but also distinctly McLaren Vale with blackberry and black currant fruit that's joined by a touch of charcuterie and unsweetened liquorice.

The wine is attractively medium bodied with a crunchy youthfulness of dark berry fruit and bitter dark chocolate tannins that are drying but lifted by a sweetness of fruit and oak. The finish shows good length and generosity of fruit with the wine having the potential to evolve over the medium term.
