The wine is a medium red in the glass and just a baby at this point in its development and will take time in the bottle to slowly evolve which is likely a common occurrence for what was a much cooler vintage in 2017. On the palate blackberry and mulberry fruit enjoy richness of cedar and dark cocoa; there is an underlying earthen thread with flowing acidity to finish and enough black berry fruits to give depth and balance.
