2017 Cimicky Blackmoor Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a serious wine in every sense of the word, the bottle and cork are amongst the most extravagant I have seen for a while and most importantly the wine within lives up to both the packaging and price point.

You will be hard pressed to find a more concentrated expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, the nose is bursting with blackberry fruit alongside coffee, earth and cedar like spice completing.

The palate is defined by a backdrop of savoury edged tannin that takes on bitter dark cherry and a dusting of dark cocoa. Expansive blackberry and dark cherry fruit give depth to the mid palate with the impact of new oak giving a veneer of richness to finish, excellent length.

Whilst young a decant is recommended.
