A youthful deep red in the glass, bramble, blackberry and rhubarb on the nose with some faint herbs.
The wine has a generous spine of blackberry fruit that is cloaked in richer vanillin oak that goes close to but doesn't mask the varietal characters of the wine. The tannins are chalky and move towards grainy to finish but the texture works with unsweetened cocoa and dark berry fruits the lasting impression.
