An inky purple in colour, the nose is quality Coonawarra with gentle cedar and spice to driving blackberry fruit and background notes of tobacco and dark chocolate. The medium to full bodied palate has a firm backbone of tannin and acid that takes on fennel and cigar box whilst underwriting time in the cellar. There is a build of olive to go along with the sweeter tobacco and spice seen on the nose; tannic grip and flowing earth alongside blackberry to finish.
