A brooding nose of graphite, blackcurrant with fresh earth and touches of tobacco. The palate is taut, drying and savoury with the wine yearning for time in a decanter or in bottle. The concentration of dark fruits is immense with some feigned liquorice notes before dusty and driving tannins that are laden with cassis and dried herbs take things away to finish.
