A glossy deep red in the glass with a nose of cassis that is supported by earth, graphite and some background spice. The palate enjoys the impact of new french oak in terms of a cedary, svelte influence to drying blackberry fruit. Tannins have a dark chocolate edge and savoury impact that underwrites plenty of future development. Hard to go wrong with this wine at $35 for both short and longer term enjoyment.
