The vines were planted in 1978 , with the grapes de-stemmed and cold soaked prior to fermentation with 4 weeks post ferment maceration before being aged in French oak for 15 months.
A classical Cabernet Sauvignon that has concentration and definition. The nose gives blackberry, mulberry, a dusting of cocoa and cedar spice. The texture of the wine on the palate is impeccable, the tannins are fine but have such impact and give dimension and length to textured black berry fruits; there is an understated chocolate note to finish with driving length of blackberry and faint dusting of brown spice. A very long life ahead.
