Produced from the Palatine Vineyard in Lobethal, with the vineyard yielding just one tonne to the acre. The wine was fermented and left of skins for one month prior to ageing in old French Oak.
A pretty red hue in the glass with good clarity, the nose has a milk chocolate richness to plum and red cherry. The wine has a taut structure with drying and grainy tannins with a coffee grinds like edge and maraschino cherry combining with bitter dark chocolate to finish.
