2010 Paracombe The Reuben

The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (46%), Merlot (23%), Cabernet Franc (17%), Malbec (11%) and Shiraz (3%), with the combination providing a nose of bright blackberry and dark cherry fruits that have a liquorice and cedary edge. The palate is juicy with blackfruits that are balanced by texturally framing tannins and well handled cedary oak. The length and mouth feel to finish is good, with a slight oxidative olive character the only minor draw back. At the price, this wine is great value.
