This wine certainly is different, the Romanesque is a blend of Aglianico, Petit Verdot and Touring Francesa, with all varieties generally uncommon in Australian vineyards. A bright and youthful red hue in the colour, cherry with background notes of deli meats.
Vibrant, bright and juicy palate with tantalising acidity that works alongside red cherry fruit. The tannins are fine but mouth puckeringly dry, which affords a great contrast between piquant and pure red fruits. Will be an interesting future ahead for this wine when secondary complexity starts to come into play, has the potential to last for a long time.
