2016 Hand Crafted by Geoff Hardy Tannat

The nose is bursting with choc mint biscuit alongside dark cherry fruit and a dusting of earth. The palate is beautifully primary with blueberry and ripe mulberry fruits filling every corner of the mouth; tannins are supportive and add some structure but also serve the purpose of soaking up quality oak inputs and giving a layer of chocolate and spice to the mid palate. The blue fruits of the palate take on a more savoury mode to finish which both provides contrast and some longer term cellaring potential.
