2019 Steels Gate Graciano

2019 has seen a couple of new wines in the lineup from Steels Gate with the Graciano and Bastardo both sourced from Nagambie providing great drinking pleasure. The wine is a deep but inky red in colour with a nose that has floral edged plum and dark cherry fruit with some a dried herbs in the background. The wine has wonderful structure with tannin and acid giving drive and length whilst drawing the focus to vibrant black fruits that have an earthen tone. The finish is much more about savoury structure with fruit tending to dark cherry and some faint leather. Will be sure to age well over the short term.
