A blend of Pinot Noir (65%), Chardonnay (20%) and Pinot Gris (15%) that has had extended ageing on lees. The nose shows the dominance of Pinot Noir with a savoury nuance to wild cherry that is lifted by clotted cream, faint marzipan and brioche tones.
The wine has retained freshness with a fine bead and taut lines of acidity that works around stone fruits with understated orange peel and savoury red fruits; there is a gentle build of biscuit like autolysis on the mid palate. The finish is excellent with damp earth to sullen red berry fruits that are driven by citrus.
