There are a few interesting characters about this wine, the first is that it is produced from a vineyard that was planted in 2007, there were only 500 bottles made, and the wine was produced with 100% whole bunch.
The wine is a browning red, no doubt due to time on skins post fermentation, the nose is almost devoid of fruit, it is an array of sweet stem, forrest floor, cactus and tomato leaf.
Great tannin and structure, with supple earthen red fruits on entry, funky forrest floor and brown spices that weave from start to finish. Exceptional length with savoury, meaty aspects, this wine will have a long an interesting future ahead of it.
