A light to medium red in colour, the wine is very much in the red fruit spectrum and shows ripe plum and cherry fruit, in that order, with some subtle oak influences.
The palate is dense and expansive with primary fruits of dark cherry and plum, the oak is expressive and complements the fruit, with just enough tannin and spice to keep the wine varietal and balanced.
This wine differs to the 2010 Port Phillip Estate release, in terms of it's imminent drinkability, and a more voluptuous wine making approach.
