Macedon Ridge is a small producer nestled on the northern slopes of Mount Macedon, with approximately 3 ha of vines they are the definition of boutique. They produce extremely limited quantities of exceptional quality sparkling wine.
A beautiful light salmon in the glass, the bead is fine yet persistent with the nose showing a delicate yet complex combination of wild strawberries, lemon curd and subtle lees complexity.
The palate has both finesse and drive, wonderfully bright citrus acidity is paired with 4 years on lees that gives textural richness and a fullness of stone fruits. There is great acidity and length to finish with just enough toasted characters to contrast the fruit; giving a glimpse of what this wine will be after years in the bottle.
