Marconnets is at the North Eastern corner of the Beaune commune with Domain Albert Moret having just over 1.5 acres of vines that are close to 50 years old. This is a masculine, structured and profound expression of Pinot Noir. The wine is laden with smokey, earthen dark cherry fruit that is set amongst layers of tannins and charcuterie. The finish is awash with brambly, sullen dark cherry fruit with signifiant length. A great old world wine.
