A light red with a slightly browning hue around the rim of the glass, the nose is very much varietal with dark cherry, undergrowth and a touch of sandalwood.
The palate bucks the trend of many 2011 Pinot's with good depth and textural layers across the wine that are highlighted by cherry and plum fruits.
The tannins are dense and along with the oak treatment impart a slight sweetness on the mid to back palate that is not overbearing, the wine finishes with drying length.
