2012 Coldstream Hills Estate Pinot Noir

The 2012 Estate masquerades as a ripe and voluptuous Pinot, but also has a darker more savoury side, with 2012 being a tremendous year for Pinot in the Yarra Valley.

The wine is a medium red hue in the glass with a nose of red cherry and generous oak, there is bright and spicy red fruits on the palate with supple rounded tannins that get a nervy textural kick on the mid to back palate giving structure and contrast. The finish has purity of fruit and a good lick of spicy oak.

This wine will cellar well given the good structure that sits below it's current youthful fruit.
