Tasting
The 2012 was a wild yeast ferment, seeing 30 days on skins prior to being transferred into French oak, 30% of which is new for approximately 11 months prior to being bottled without fining.

A light to medium red in colour, there is a nose of spicy stem, cherry and richer plum fruits. The wine is medium to full bodied, with a layered mouth feel that builds in terms of both depth of fruit and influence of spice across the palate. Dark cherry and rhubarb get an aromatic baking spice lift whilst velvety tannins complete the wine and lead to a considerable finish.

A great wine from across the ditch.
