2012 Oakridge Local Vineyard Series Willowlake Vineyard Pinot Noir

The Local Vineyard Series wines are sourced from the Upper Yarra Valley and represent single sites that undergo the same treatment in the winery, open ferments and 10 months in oak.

The Willowlake release is a light to medium red in colour, the nose balances youthful floral and red cherry aromas with a touch of stem and vanillin oak.

The wine is light on it's feet in terms of purity of fruit but still has plenty of savoury structure at it's core; well balanced red cherry and wild strawberry are supported by fine tannins and white pepper characters on the long fruit focused finish.
