2012 Shadowfax Geelong Pinot Noir

This wine comes from a great vintage and benefits from some clever winemaking. The wine was made up of 25% whole bunches, saw 16 days on skin and had a little under 20% new oak. The resultant wine is in a classic Geelong style with a generous savoury sweet core.

A light to medium red that is bright in the glass, the nose gives sweet stem and cherry with background oak.

Smokey stem and savoury complexity frames the wine giving earthy tannins and bright acidity that will underwrite a considerable future. There is earthen cherry to finish with impressive savoury length.
