Tasting
Attention to detail and consistent quality are the hallmarks of this exceptional producer. The Curly' is the label under which the reserve release of both the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are produced.
The aromatics on this wine are reminiscent of the exceptional 2012, which is one of my favourite Australian Pinot's to date.
The nose gives more each time you take a look, aromatic baking spices, piercing cherry fruit and sappy rich oak oscillate as one. What you see on the nose is what you get on the palate, a balanced expression of vineyard inputs and winemaker complexity. The tannins and acid structure provide the perfect framework for the svelte red fruits that are laced with subtle spice, this wine will age effortlessly gaining the secondary complexity of a fine Pinot along the way.
