Tasting
Home Hill is a label that continues to prove it's pedigree, having produced a string of excellent Pinot releases over the last few years. The 2013 is the best i have tried from the winery so far, supple richness meets definition and structure.
A light to medium red in colour the nose has sappy cherry with smokey plum. The wine is medium bodied with dark cherry getting a lift from expressive baking spices, the tannins are tight grained and support the drying plum fruit on the long and complex finish.
Drinking very well now, and will reward a decade in the cellar.
