A deep but youthful red in the glass, the nose is masculine with mineral cherry cola and sage inspired spice.
The palate is drying and savoury; there is an underlying structure that is not unlike young wines from Burgundy, a mineral tightly bound structure that is calling out for time to unfurl. There is still striking black cherry and some slightly richer oak inputs that add a suppleness.
This wine will strongly reward time in the cellar, showing flashes now of what it will be in the future.
