2014 Shadowfax Macedon Pinot Noir

A high proportion of whole bunches were used for this wine (50%), which after ferment was pressed to a mix of new and used French oak Hogsheads (30% new). The wine is a bright yet deep red hue in the glass with youthful cherry and plum on the nose with suggestion of sage and forrest floor. The palate is structural and gives a sinewy savoury core to the wines richer components that will allow this wine to shine with a few years in the bottle.

The finish is long and drying with spicy and textural whole bunch characters shining through.
