Collalto over the last three vintages are proving their pedigree as an excellent Pinot Noir producer in the Adelaide Hills. The wines consistently give both pretty aromatics and a darker more serious side that is evident in the best wines coming out of the hills.
A light, dull red in the glass with sappy forrest floor aromatics that have thyme and bay leaf nuances to red cherry fruit.
The palate is fruit forward at this point of it's development with bright red cherry and enjoyable baking spice notes. The tannins are fine and textural and certainly support this wine as it grows in years to come. The finish is defined with quality oak showing itself in the way of generous spice alongside piercing red cherry fruit.
