Tasting
The fruit for this wine comes from the Jim Jim vineyard, and showcases a remarkable site, the great 2015 vintage and finely attuned winemaking. At $35 RRP this is very good value for high end Pinot Noir.
Dark cherry and rhubarb are lifted by cedar and cinnamon spice on the nose with a palate that is a sappy and spicy rendition of red berry fruits; but undeniably light on it's feet.
There are layers of dark cherry and undergrowth that weave themselves amongst a finely structured web of tannin and acid. The finish gives earthen red cherry and rhubarb with a peacocks tail of baking spice.
