2015 Mammoth Untouched Pinot Noir

The name of the wine gives it away, whole bunch, wild yeast, no cap management, old oak and bottled without fining and filtration. At times this monocle can be used to produce wine that is deemed natural but has every fault under the sun. This is a stunningly complex wine that makes you think of site and the watching eye of a winemaker that knows their craft inside and out.

A nose of earthen red cherry with bramble and spice, the palate is supple and rounded with cherry fruits awash with autumnal leaves; tannins have a faint cherry pip like bitterness that give perfect contrast to the fuller fruit on the palate. Excellent texture and length to finish.
