The first release of this wine from Rowanston on the Track, with the nose brimming with dark cherry and gently herbaceous rhubarb.
The palate is primary and fruit forward with concentrated red cherry and raspberry fruit that is met by chalky and fine tannins, there is plenty of underlying acidity gives contrast to the vibrant primary fruits and underwrites the wines cellaring potential. There is a slight herbal character that melds with red fruits to finish.
The wine is more about youthful exuberance at the moment and will reward time in bottle as it comes into it's own.
