Before we get started this is a benchmark example of Australian Pinot Noir...

The wine was produced in tiny quantities with less than 2000 bottles made. The clone used was 115, with the bottling single sites that typically come from a single clone a unique characteristic of Ten Minutes by Tractor.

A more typical Mornington Pinot Noir in colour when compared to some of the other 2016 releases with a light to medium red in the glass. The nose is a complex mix of dominant red berry fruits, undergrowth and the subtle baking spice notes of new French oak.

There is an opulence to the wine, partially due to the purity of fruit but mainly driven by the silky tannins and gentle sheath of oak induced richness that envelops the wine. The opulence is not at the expense of elegance with fine lines of acidity giving ample structure and an understand earthen aspect filling out the mid palate. The finish fills every corner of your mouth with a spiced rendition of red fruits and a sappy rhubarb note that lingers.
