2016 Terre a Terre Rose

An intriguing blend of old vine Pinot Noir (65%) and Chardonnay (35%) that's sourced from the Bizot and Summertown Vineyards in the Piccadilly Valley. Made from the pressing that was destined for sparkling base and fermented in older oak and aged on lees for two months before being prepared for bottling in August 2016.

A light salmon hue in the glass, the nose has a understated strawberry notes that meld with some mealy generosity. The palate has a racy line of acidity with crunchy strawberry and taut lemon zest. Undeniably a food wine that has just enough richness from time on lees to have depth.
