2017 Sidewood Estate Pinot Noir

A very light red in the glass that speaks of the year, with the wine cold soaked prior to ferment with a portion of whole bunch was included in the ferment before being aged in French Oak for 10 months. This is an earthen expression of Adelaide Hills Pinot noir with iodine and cured meat to red cherry fruits on the nose. The palate is framed by undergrowth and understated spice along with darker berry fruits. Taut savoury tones give length to finish. A wine that will be polarising to some.
