If this is the 10x Pinot, it's time to start saving your pennies for the 2017 Estate and Single Vineyard releases. There is an effortless elegance to this wine, yet it has enough substance to be complex and complete.
The nose has red cherry fruit that is lifted by floral spice and the faintest charcuterie nuance. The wine is defined by it's gossamer tannins that are supple but impactful and sit alongside a steady build of concentrated red cherry fruit that is bristling with earthen flare but well balanced by the gentle sweetness of vanillin oak. Acidity is swift and keeps things moving as well as ensuring a medium term cellaring proposition.
The finish enjoys flashes of rhubarb, dark cherry and lingering spice.
